Celebrate Our Seniors
White Water Rafting Trip
The varsity team kicks off each season with an overnight white water rafting trip with coaches. This year’s rafting trip will be Aug. 16-17 (players will leave after the car wash on Saturday). Players each will be asked to pay a flat fee (we’ll share this once we know the final amount) and Kickers Club covers the remaining cost of lodging, rafting and all meals except dinner on the way home on Sunday.
Senior Night
This year’s Senior Night will be Thursday, Oct. 9. This is our last home game and we take on Westerville South at 7:15 p.m. Kickers Club has a committee working on this event and will cover the cost of photos as families and players take the field before the game as well as photos of the game itself. Families will want to plan to arrive early for festivities and stay late for a Final Senior Shot post-game celebration, but more information will be provided closer to the event.
We do need 5 photos of each senior as soon as possible (it’s always fun to include some younger pictures in the mix) sent to jenkuckrn@yahoo.com or m_romey@hotmail.com. If you have questions, please send to those emails as well.
Senior Media Day
We’re planning to continue a tradition of hiring a photographer for an extra photo shoot of seniors as a group and individually. The photo shoot will be on the back turf Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 7:30 (boys should have time to run home and shower after practice and come back with uniforms). They can coordinate which uniforms they would like to wear. This is NOT covered by Kickers Club and we’re asking $21 per senior to cover the cost of the photographer and all seniors will receive the photos. You can venmo @mary-sterenberg with the comment “senior media day.” Please reach out to Mary Sterenberg at 614-406-1313 if you have questions or concerns.
Senior Banners and Player Recogntion on Stadium Entrance (FatHeads)
Kickers Club covers the cost of the senior banners you see hanging from the stadium fencing. This is done through HR Imaging, the company that takes team photos. They will provide proofs for the banners that senior players can approve before printing/hanging.
There are a few other fun senior traditions. Kickers Club covers the cost and process of ordering fathead signs of the seniors that families can use to support players throughout the season and especially at Senior Night. We will also coordinate painting player names/numbers on the concrete walkway leading up to the stadium.
